This is from a company that normally releases phones with higher pricing than usual
Vivo has recently released the Vivo T1 5G, a phone designed with performance in mind. What we particularly like about this is the surprisingly competitive pricing. With the Snapdragon 778G inside and AMOLED, you would think this would be as expensive as the Vivo V23 series. Actually, the phone is priced quite competitively. But before we get to that (we know some of you may not read the entire article, or some will just scroll down), let’s get to the specifications.
Reviewers call it Vivo’s first-ever “bang-for-buck” contender in years. As mentioned earlier, it has an AMOLED screen. The display itself is measured at 6.44″ and comes with a 90Hz refresh rate. It would be nice if Vivo starts abandoning the waterdrop or dewdrop notches on their phones, as it makes them look dated than they actually are.
Inside is the still-competitive Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset. It also has a vapour chamber cooling plate. You know this is a gaming phone when it has solutions to help it not feel like a frying pan. It comes with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 internal storage by default.
The cameras are quite typical since this is probably Vivo’s first truly gaming-centric phone. The T-series from Vivo serves as the company’s main “mainstream gaming phone” line as we like to call it. Going back to the cameras, it comes with a 64mp primary camera, complemented by an 8mp ultrawide and a 2mp 4cm macro that barely helps with zoom-in shots. The 16mp front camera is sitting on a waterdrop notch.
It comes with a typically sized 4700mAh battery but the slightly smaller battery than usual is offset with the very fast 66W fast charging that it comes with. It boots with FunTouchOS 12 based on Android 12 and also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, USB-C port, and a 3.5mm jack.
In terms of connectivity, it has 5G services, Bluetooth 5.2, Dual-band Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi 6. It also has support for Hi-Res Audio and comes with a dual microphone system. For colours, you have Turbo Black and Turbo Blue.
Let me guess, you actually didn’t read the entire article and instead scrolled all the way down here (or below the spec sheet for that matter) just to find the price? Since you’re curious to hear it, the phone costs Php 16,999. Which is actually way lower than some similar contenders like the Mi 11 Lite NE and even the Realme GT Master Edition! For what is worth, we believe Vivo is going in the right direction and we’re hoping they continue doing so, even in their other lineups
Oh, for one last time. Vivo, please remove the hideous dewdrop notch on your higher-end phones already. It’s 2022.
