Vivo launches the Y21T in the Philippines!

A phone with an expensive price and Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor!

Vivo has officially launched another budget phone for their Y series called the Vivo Y21T. It’s an 11K phone with Snapdragon 680 in it, and it was released to compete with handsets like the Redmi Note 11.

The phone has a size of 6.51in. and uses a HD+ (1600x720px) IPS LCD screen. This is technically the Oppo A96’s counterpart with a waterdrop notch.

In terms of processor, it uses the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip which is comparable to that of the Helio G88. This is paired with a fairly low (for its price) 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

The battery is 5000mAh that’s complemented with reverse charging as well as 18W fast charging. On the image above, we can see that the phone uses a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that also acts as a power button. It comes in two colours: Pearl White and Midnight Blue. RAM can be expanded virtually to 1GB. This is done by taking some of your internal storage and turning it into RAM.

There are three cameras at the back, or you can say one camera with two drawn circles since the 2mp macro and depth cameras have no real-world use anyway. The main sensor is 50mp while the selfie camera is 8mp housed on a waterdrop notch.

The phone is available for Php 10,999 on Shopee and Lazada (listed but price hasn’t been made official yet). During its opening week, Vivo is also giving away FREE TWS earbuds and a DITO SIM Card for every purchase of the Y21T
