Philips released one of the first non-Huawei phones with Huawei Mobile Services!

Because of that, the phone may not be released internationally, as HMS isn’t ready

Philips is a company most famous for general electricals but they also manufacture phones with limited quantity. One of the phones they manufactured has HMS (which surprisingly does not stand for Her Majesty’s Ship) or Huawei Mobile Services. This phone is called the Philips PH2.

The phone is notable as one of the first non-Huawei phones that uses their mobile services, instead of Google’s. Outside of this feat is a typical budget phone.

The phone is equipped with a 6.2in. TFT panel with HD+ resolution and only 60Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a UNISOC Tiger T310 chipset. It is a quad-core chip consisting of 3 Cortex A-55 cores and a single Cortex A-75 performance core, making it one of the rare chipsets that are quad-core but have 4G LTE services. This chip is manufactured on a 12nm TSMC FinFET process and uses the PowerVR GE8300 for graphics

There is a single pair of cameras at the back, one comprising of a 13mp main camera, and the other is an auxiliary 2mp depth sensor that completely does nothing useful. The front camera is a 5mp sensor. The battery is also not that large, only 3900mAh and 10W charging.

With all these specs mentioned, including the side-mounted fingerprint sensor and USB-C, the phone is clearly meant for ultra-budget users. In China, the phone starts at CNY799 (~Php 6.3K) for the 4/128 configuration, the only configuration available
