Though this doesn’t include Apple’s A15 Bionic
AI-Benchmark has released its results for the AI performance of some of the world’s most popular flagship processors including the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 and the Google Tensor. In their testing, the Dimensity 9000 has the best AI performance, even defeating the frequently-advertised-for-AI, Google Tensor
If you could recall, the Dimensity 9000 is the world’s first mobile chip manufactured on a 4nm process. It uses the Mali-G710 for graphics and is also the first chipset to use the Vulkan SDK for raytracing. The chip is structured after the 1-3-4 architecture. In this architecture, there’s a single Cortex-X2 ultra core clocked at 3.05GHz, three Cortex-A710 super cores clocked at 2.85GHz, and four Cortex-A510 power efficiency cores. In addition to the CPU, the chipset also supports up to 7,500Mbps LPDDR5 RAM and up to 180Hz refresh rate on FHD+ resolution monitors.
This chipset also features a 5th-gen APU (AI Processing Unit) that has 4x better power efficiency and, according to ETHZ benchmark, has a leading AI performance.
According to the chart above, the Dimensity 9000 has a score of 692.5 points which is way way ahead of the Google Tensor’s 256.9 points and million years away from the Snapdragon 888’s 164.8 points. Basically, the Dimensity 9000 blows everyone out of the water, although the chip was compared from previous-gen processors, apart from the Tensor.
We would like to see the chip compared to current-gen processors and see how it turns out. Specifically, we want it compared to the SD8G1 as well as the Exynos 2200.
