Samsung has announced a new budget phone for its M series called “Galaxy M32” in retrospect, the specs are similar to its cousin, the Galaxy A32, albeit with a different design.
Like the Galaxy A32, the most prominent feature of the phone is its display. It’s an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, uncommon for a budget phone for its range. Also, like the Galaxy A32, the M32 also uses a Mediatek Helio G80 chipset, along with a quadruple camera system, the main of which also has 64mp. There is also an 8mp ultrawide and 2mp auxiliaries depth and macro, slightly lower than the already low resolution of 5mp on the Galaxy A32. Both handsets also have a 20mp selfie camera.
The phone is equipped with 4 or 6GB RAM alongside 64 or 128GB storage. This storage is expandable via MicroSD card. For the battery, a large 6000mAh battery comes equipped with the handset along with a 25W fast charging tech. In contrast, the Galaxy A32 uses a 5000mAh battery and only 15W fast charging. Although AMOLED, it uses a side-mounted fingerprint instead of an in-display one, possibly due to budget constraints. The phone also has NFC enabled that’s region dependent and ships with Android 11 with One UI 3.1 out of the box.
Currently, there’s no word yet about Philippine release, but it’s more likely to come here with actual prices and storage and colour options.
