Just when you thought Xiaomi couldn’t confuse you hard enough, the company has to release a nearly identical sibling, the Redmi Note 10 5G.
Like the Poco M3 Pro 5G, the Redmi Note 10 5G uses a Dimensity 700U 5G chipset. A chipset fabricated on a 7nm process. The same 48mp triple camera system, albeit a different sensor. While the Poco M3 Pro 5G uses Sony IMX582, the Redmi Note 10 5G uses an Omnivision OV48B sensor. Other than that, the camera systems are the same, a single 48mp coupled with 2mp auxiliaries.
The display is identical, and we don’t mean “similar”, it’s literally the same screen. It uses a 90Hz FHD+ IPS panel, like the Poco M3 Pro 5G. And like it, this phone also uses a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. The most prominent difference comes to the design, and colour choices. One major difference is that the Redmi Note 10 5G tops at 8GB RAM while the Poco M3 Pro 5G tops only at 6GB, and the former is more expensive. In addition, the Redmi Note 10 5G offers more storage to boot.
The phone comes in four colours: Aurora Green, Chrome Silver, Graphite Grey and Nighttime Blue. Below are their prices.
- 4/128: 9,990 php
- 8/128: 11,490 php
They are available for purchase in Shopee and Lazada this coming 5th June! No early bird prices for this one.
The company is also launching the Redmi Note 10S, which is basically the regular Redmi Note 10 but with a higher resolution camera and a different processor. For starters, it comes with a Helio G95 processor and 64mp quad cameras which include an 8mp ultrawide and two 2mp auxiliaries. For selfies, it comes with a single 13mp camera to boot.
In the Philippines, it starts at 11,990php for the 8/128 version and is available through partner stores, Shopee and Lazada, also on 5th June!
