This is the “Part Two” of the previous article. You don’t have to read it in order, however, all necessary information is in the OnePlus 9 Pro article, go check that one out! This one is just a quick summary to what the OnePlus 9 is about, as both have similar hardware, from the processor all the way to the camera.
Without further ado, let’s begin.
Camera:
The OnePlus 9, like the OnePlus 9 Pro uses the finetuning Hasselblad offers, even using the same 50mp Sony IMX789 sensor as the Pro and every camera feature the Pro has. The main difference is that the OnePlus 9 only has three cameras. The second one is the 48MP Sony IMX689 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and measuring 1/1.43″. The OnePlus 9 removes the telephoto camera, for some reason, but kept the 2mp depth sensor.
For selfies, you get a 16mp f/2.4 sensor with 1.0µm size.
Processor:
Since the OnePlus 9 series are flagship phones, it should come as no surprise that the company will opt for the Snapdragon 888 5G.
Display:
Like the OnePlus 9 Pro, it will use the LTPO-based Fluid AMOLED with 120Hz refresh rate, super video resolution (a fancy way of saying vivid colours) and HDR10+ support. The phone has a maximum brightness of 1100 nits.
The screen measures 6.55 inches. and has a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels with a screen-to-body ratio of 20:9.
Battery/Charging:
The OnePlus 9 has the same capacity and features as that of the OnePlus 9 Pro. These include 65W fast charging and 50W fast wireless charging. It also has the heat dissipation technology called Cool Play, made of 5 layers of different copper graphite materiel.
Pricing/Colours:
The phone will start at €699 (~40K php) for the 8/128 version and €799 (~46K php) for the 12/256 version. Let’s wait for Digital Walker and/or OnePlus Philippines to announce official prices and availability. It is expected that both phones will be available either start of April or end of March.
