OnePlus 9R announced, a more glorified OnePlus 8T

Though the OnePlus 9R was not part of the global livestream, the 9R still deserves to be mentioned.

OnePlus is a type of company that wants to have phones in all possible ranges, and the OnePlus 9R sits between a premium flagship and an upper midranger.

It seems like the OnePlus 9R is exclusive to India, according to GSMArena.

The OnePlus 9R is more or less a glorified version of the OnePlus 8T with additional bells and whistles, if you couldn’t tell from the title already. It is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC that the 8T has, and of course, like the rest of the OnePlus 9 lineup, comes with Fluid AMOLED with LTPO, this means better response times and 120Hz refresh rates.

For the cameras, it comes with a 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with OIS, a 16mp Sony IMX 481 ultrawide camera with a field-of-view of 123°, 5mp macro and a 2mp macro for black-and-white shots when using the filter. These are definitely 100% a unique set of cameras never-before-seen on any smartphone, ever.

Like its siblings, it will come with the same 4500mAh battery and support for 65W WarpCharge® Fast charging but no wireless charging available. It takes 39 minutes to reach a full charge.

For the sound, the OnePlus 9R will have Dolby Atmos and stereo speakers and no headphone jack. It will be available in two colours: Lake Blue and Carbon Black

Pricing is listed below:

The phone will be available to purchase in India starting 15th April, and OnePlus also has optional gaming triggers for a more comfortable and intense gaming experience.
