The Vivo iQoo (pronounced “IQ”) Neo 5 has been found listed on Vivo’s Chinese store. It is the latest performance phone from the company.
The phone is packed with a Snapdragon 870 processor, coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Other options are available too, including 8/128 and 12/256 ram/storage.
The phone is 5G enabled as well. It also packs a 4400 mAh battery and 66W fast charging.
For the screen, it has a 6.62in OLED Panel with HDR10/HDR10+ support and 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a FHD resolution and 1300 nits peak brightness
Unlike other Vivo phones however, this one packs with OriginOS instead of Funtouch OS. It will come shipped with Android 10, but we hope it would also update to Android 11.
Cameras are not as important in gaming smartphones, so Vivo only used a basic setup. The camera system is a quad camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX598 with OIS support, a 13mp ultrawide sensor and two 2mp sensors, most probably a macro and a depth sensor
The phone comes in three colours: Black, Blue and Orange. It will be available starting 22nd March. Below are the prices and direct conversions for each storage/ram options:
- 8/128: CNY 2,499 (or 18.7K php)
- 8/256: CNY 2,699 (or 20.2K php)
- 12/256: CNY 2,999 (or 22.5K php)
Take note that these are direct conversions and import taxes do not count.
