The Budget Pixel? Tecno Launches the Spark 50 5G in India

In case you couldn’t afford the real thing, Tecno is giving you that option that fits right in your wallet.

Transsion, through their brands Infinix, Tecno, and Itel, are quite known for having budget phones inspired by premium luxury ones. For instance, Itel had the S25 Ultra… at home, then again, the brand launched a OnePlus 15 clone… for those with minimum wage budget, and now, it’s Tecno’s turn. This time, taking inspiration directly from Google Pixel.

The Spark 50 5G has no announced release date yet for the Philippine market but it is now available for Indian users to buy through Flipkart.

Its design, clearly intended to be luxurious and premium-looking with its gold coloring and glasstic materials, is the phone’s main highlight. Aside from that, the phone also has basic 5G features as well as a large 6500mAh battery (with 45W fast charging) and a punch hole notch. The camera array is made from “Aerospace-grade” aluminum, whatever that means.

In terms of performance, the phone has 4 or 6GB RAM (marketed as “18GB”, as in 6GB physical and 6GB virtual RAM) and 128GB ROM. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, a basic budget 5G chip.

The cameras, while flashy and suggestive, is nothing to write home about, unlike, of course, the real premium Pixel experience. The main camera is 50MP in resolution and is partnered by a 2MP auxiliary. Meanwhile, the selfie camera has 8MP resolution.

The phone comes in four colours. Champagne Gold, Ink Black, Mint Green, and Fantasy Purple. In case you were wondering what “Ka Tashan” means, it means “status of” in Hindi. This further signifies the proof that the phone is indeed meant for people who wanted to look stylishly luxurious without breaking the bank or going for the actual Google Pixel 10.
