Three Galaxy S phones are on their way!
Every January or early February, Samsung teases its upcoming flagship phones, the Galaxy S series. Every September, comes the Fold series in replacement of the classic Note line. This year’s Unpacked will involve three Galaxy S phones, aptly named Samsung Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and of course, the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
The event will take place in San Jose, California, USA. The main presentation will involve its Galaxy AI, because it is. Now, powered by Gemini AI which is corporately said to “change the way you interact with the world every day”. Samsung pretty much highlights how their AI has improved since its inception a year back.
If you’re not from the USA, like us, then you can join in on the livestream taking place on the brand’s YouTube channels and other social media platforms. When you register for the Unpacked, you will also get up to PHP 5,000 in e-voucher. In the Philippines, the event will take place at 2AM on January 23.
While there are three confirmed phones, rumors suggest of an S25 Slim coming too. The phone has been listed on Geekbench already. As it name suggests, it is a lighter, slimmer version of the regular Galaxy S25.
Don’t get your hopes too high though. The Galaxy S25 series is just a rehashed Galaxy S24 series with a slimmer profile, which in turn is a rehashed Galaxy S23 series. Aside from the updated chipset, obviously the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the phones are expected to be highly similar to last year’s Galaxy S. The only thing that’s exciting here is the Galaxy S25 Slim, and it’s most likely just either a toned down Galaxy S25 Plus or a slimmer Galaxy S25.
