The POCO X7 Series Has Finally Launched! Yes, this Includes the Iron Man Phone!

Yes, they are technically Redmis, but on a larger gaming scale.

Today. POCO officially unveiled the long-awaited POCO X7 and X7 Pro. Two phones with an emphasis on fast and reliable performance, especially those who game all the time. The phones are based on the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and the Redmi Turbo 4 respectively. However, they get a special POCO treatment with improvements and changes on their software and aesthetics.

The Iron Man edition of the POCO X7 Pro is also available in the Philippines, which means, no need for you to visit your local grey seller to get one, for the meantime.

POCO X7

The POCO X7 is a gaming phone that takes the DNA of the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G, and we speculated that it will have the same specs. To the surprise of no one, yes, it does have the same specs.

The POCO X7 is priced at PHP 14,999 (8/256) and PHP 16,999 (12/512) respectively. And at that price, not including the early bird prices, are already pretty competitive. Aggressive, in fact. The phone features a Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset, a performance chipset manufactured on a 4nm process, a 5110mAh battery with 45W fast charging, somewhat underwhelming considering there are now phones with around 5,500mAh batteries and even faster charging, an IP68 rating which we’re surprised to find on a BUDGET MIDRANGE phone, a 1.5K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. POCO calls its adaptive refresh rate technology “CrystalRes Flow”. This screen is very bright, at 3000nits.

As for the cameras, they can’t be beat as well. It’s a gaming phone alright but it also has got you prepared with flagship-level cameras which can record 4K, and has OIS. It uses a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera and some supporting characters, including the semi-decent 8MP ultrawide and the parasitic 2MP aesthetic camera. At the front is a 20MP selfie camera.

The phone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor, a USB-C port, and an IR Blaster. Can’t be a Redmi Note phone without it. There are three colours. Simply named “Green”, “Silver”, and “Yellow”.

POCO X7 PRO:

The POCO X7 Pro is the beefed up version of the X7, as you can tell. It is also based on another Redmi phone, the Redmi Turbo 4. The difference is that the POCO X7 Pro is accessible to everyone whereas the Redmi Turbo 4 is stuck in China.

It is valued at a generous PHP 16,999 starting price and goes all the way to PHP 19,999 for the highest-end version. Frankly speaking, you would go for the middle variant, which is enough for most people. Unless you’re like us that takes way too many photos and videos in a matter of days, and play way too many demanding games. In that case, go for the 512GB version, since MicroSD cards are a thing of the past.

As the global edition of the Redmi Turbo 4, it sports many, if not all, of its traits. The main difference between it and the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is its chipset. The POCO X7 Pro sports the more recent and more powerful Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset. It retains the same cameras (without the gimmicky 2MP filler), display (but on a brighter 3200nits brightness), and IP rating. However, the battery is now buffed to 6000mAh and its charge rate is doubled. It also highlights its vapour chamber cooling system and larger aperture.

It comes in three simply named colours. These are Yellow, Green, and Grey. The phone also retains features such as the optical fingerprint scanner, USB-C port, and IR Blaster.

The limited-edition Iron Man-themed POCO X7 Pro is also available, which comes with a different-coloured shell, a special box, and an Iron Man-themed case. The 120W charger is included with the purchase. The offer is only available for the 12/512 variant of the POCO X7 Pro and is valued at PHP 22,999. However, at the moment, until the promo ends on January 19th, the phone is discounted to PHP 18,499.
