Oh boy, another one of those.
Vivo has launched the Vivo V29e with a completely different design from the V29. One of its main attractions here is the ruby-cloured phone with a texture resembling that of matte and faux leather. Vivo said its colours are artistic and even put that in the phone’s official colour names which are Artistic Red and Artistic Blue. One of the main upgrades over the V27e is its curved FullHD+ (2400x1080px) OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and full DCI-P3 colour gamut. It features a thickness of just 0.75cm.
Inside it is every company’s favourite midrange chip, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 paired with 8GB RAM and a choice between 128GB or 256GB internal storage. Both of these can be expanded. RAM virtually and the ROM via a MicroSD Card.
Its main feature, of course, is its cameras. Oddly enough, we don’t see the so-called aura ring light that the V27e offered. The primary camera is a 64MP sensor with OIS (possibly the Omnivision OV64B or Sony IMX686) and an 8MP ultrawide. Vivo has finally learned that 2MP sensors are meaningless aesthetic features that should have been retired. The front camera is an upgrade over the Vivo V27e’s 32MP, now it’s 50MP like the V29.
It has a 5000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner, 5G services, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi 6/6e connectivity.
In India, the phone is valued at INR 31,999 (~PHP 22K) for the 8/128 variant while the 8/256 option is priced at INR 33,999 (~PHP 33.3K).
No word yet for Philippines availability.
