Convenient for those who wanted to have the Korea experience.
GCash has announced that its Scan-to-Pay feature is now available among selected South Korean brands. Selected retailers now accept GCash as a payment option which is useful if you happen to roam the country, work there, or are currently living there.
In addition, you can now claim vouchers that could be used for these brands. Simply open the app, then select “A+ Rewards”, choose South Korea as the country, and finally, explore the number of merchants that are available within GCash and claim your exclusive voucher there.
Brands that currently accept GCash include Lotte Duty-Free, Shinsegae Duty-Free, LINE Friends, Hao Di Lao, and Starbucks Korea.
GCash is available in a number of nations, not just South Korea. This is thanks to the help of AliPay+ which GCash is a partner. When you see a QR Code labelled under AliPay+, simply open GCash and use the “Pay with QR” option. It’s a very easy and convenient transaction that requires no extra information. Just sign in and pay.
Countries where GCash is available include Singapore, China, Japan, Malaysia, Qatar, and now South Korea. The company is planning to expand to more countries so stay tuned and we’ll announce which ones.
