Now that’s a large battery
While every major company is leaving Russia, Tecno is not one of them. The company has introduced the Tecno POVA Neo 2 in the country. Its main highlights include its geometrically unique rear design and a very large 7000mAh battery which surprisingly fits in the cramped space.
The POVA series is intended for budget-conscious gamers and the POVA Neo 2’s design reflects that. Inside is a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, an ageing chipset. The phone comes in 4/64 or 6/128 configurations and are priced RUB 11,990 and RUB 13,990 respectively.
It comes with a dual camera setup. It consists of a 16MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary depth lens. In front is an 8MP snapper.
In terms of display, the phone features a 6.82in. HD+ (1640x720px) IPS LCD with a punch hole and 90Hz refresh rate. We’re not sure either why Tecno didn’t just go FullHD. It won’t really break the bank.
It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm jack, and USB-C port. The behemoth that is the 7000mAh battery is complemented by a slow 18W fast charging (ironic no?) It is slow for the capacity it gives but it’s better than simply having 10W.
The phone has Transsion’s signature DTS Audio support for a crisp and loud sound experience. No word yet for Philippines availability.
