The OnePlus Nord 2T and Nord CE 2 Lite are now available in Lazada!

Hey, in case you aren’t patient enough for the OnePlus 10T to arrive, have some midrangers!

If you are looking for midrange phones or a OnePlus phone but you don’t have the money to afford their flagships, you’re in luck! OnePlus has officially released the Nord 2T and the Nord 2 CE Lite in the Philippines. They are midrangers so they should be more affordable.

OnePlus Nord 2T

The higher-end of the two and the successor to the popular Nord 2. It features a 6.43in. FHD+ (2400x1080px) AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is HDR10+ certified. Just as expected from an AMOLED screen.

In terms of performance, it features a performance-studded MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset, an improved version of the popular Dimensity 1200 which powered early flagship killers and performance midrangers. This is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

It features a 4500mAh battery split onto two 2250mAh cells. It features 80W fast charging, although it’s Oppo’s SuperVOOC instead of OnePlus’ proprietary WarpCharge.

There are three cameras at the back and a single 32MP Sony IMX615 front camera situated on the left corner of the screen. The camera setup used here is identical to the newly-announced OnePlus 10T which is a telling point that that phone isn’t really intended for camera usage but rather for raw performance.

Anyway, as it is identical, you will receive a 50MP Sony IMX766 with OIS as your primary lens. This is complemented by our two side characters which are the 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras.

It has 5G services, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Dual-band Wi-Fi, and dual nano-SIM slots. Traditional for OnePlus phones, it lacks a MicroSD card slot but it does have an Alert Slider which is now absent starting with the OnePlus 10T (though it will be present on Pro phones). It also does not have a headphone jack.

As mentioned, it is available via Lazada for Php20,490. It comes in Grey Shadow and Jade Fog colours.

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite

Another midrange phone brought to the Philippines is the CE 2 Lite. As the name suggests, it is a lightweight version of the CE 2 and therefore, should be slightly more affordable. It comes with a pretty generic design and is a budget midrange at its best. it reminds us of the Oppo Reno7 series.

The display, in comparison to the Nord 2T, is actually larger, measuring 6.59″ diagonally. Although to keep prices low, there are some compensations to be held, like the IPS LCD screen the phone has instead of AMOLED. Due to the more affordable screen, it now can support up to 120Hz refresh rate so that’s something.

Inside is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, a chipset that’s both blessed and cursed considering its performance is not up to par with its MediaTek counterpart, the Dimensity 900. The phone has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage.

It has a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging again from Oppo, not OnePlus’ WarpCharge. It boots with OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12.

It has a set of midrange cameras. There is your 64MP primary alongside a 2MP depth assist and macro cameras. The front is a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor on a punch-hole.

It has 5G services, Dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2. It has a USB-C port and an alert slider alongside a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Traditional to OnePlus phones, it lacks a MicroSD slot and it does not have a headphone jack either. Slim pickins.

It costs Php 12,990 and it comes in Black Dusk and Blue Tide colours. It is available via Lazada.
