ICYMI: Huawei has released the Nova Y70 with a large 6000mAh battery and a curvy design

Now in the Philippines without Google services. We’re surprised to see Huawei still living even if they got stripped off of everything.

Huawei has previously released the midrange Nova Y70 with a large oval camera hump and a large 6000mAh battery. It comes with EMUI 12 with Huawei Mobile Services and the AppGallery.

The phone comes with a large 6.75″ HD+ (1600x720px) IPS LCD screen with 16.7 million colours. Inside is the surprisingly still-surviving Kirin 710 chipset with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage that is expandable via MicroSD card up to 512GB. The Kirin 710 was manufactured in 2018 before Huawei got blacklisted. It competes with the Helio G80 and the Snapdragon 665.

There is the usual triple camera setup consisting of a 48mp primary camera along with a 5mp 120-degree ultrawide camera and the 2mp depth camera. The latter two seem gimmicky to us, as 5mp is way too low resolution for an ultrawide camera. The front camera is sitting on a dewdrop notch and has an 8mp resolution.

There is a 6000mAh battery at the back supplemented with 22.5W fast charging. Huawei calls it SuperCharge. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, a 3.5mm jack, and a USB-C port. It comes in three colours: Crystal Blue, Pearl White, and Midnight Black.

SPECS:

The phone is now available in Lazada, Shopee, and Huawei Concept Stores. It comes with a FREE Huawei Band 4E that’s worth Php1,390.
