Coupled with a UNISOC processor, 6in. HD+ screen and 4100mAh battery. Truly a budget phone in all aspects
Another day, another phone. But hold on… Is that an iPhone 12 clone with Google Play Store? Must be a fake.
Kidding aside, the Hisense U50 is a budget phone from the TV manufacturer Hisense. Because their competitor, TCL, released a budget phone, they might as well release one, albeit this one has even lower specs and lower pricing.
The phone is intended for the Mexican market. It is powered by a quad-core UNISOC SC7731E processor with 1.3GHz clock speed. Not the fastest and even below standards compared to today’s midrangers, but it will do for ultrabudgets. It is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.
The camera hump has a fruity resemblance, composing of an 8mp main camera, a 2mp depth sensor and a CIF (Common Intermediate Format) sensor, intended for low-resolution video. The front camera is housed on a dewdrop notch, with a resolution of 5mp. It is shipped with regular (not Android Go) Android 11.
While it doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, it partially makes up for it by including a facial recognition scanner, possibly mimicking the iPhone 12 also lacking a fingerprint scanner but having FaceID instead. It uses MicroUSB for charging and has a rated 4100mAh battery coupled with 10W charging.
In Mexico, it’s priced at MXN 2,699 or approximately around Php6.8K
